    Çanakkale Folk Song

    The story of the Çanakkale Folk Song is derived from a letter. The letter was written by Seyfullah, brother of Emrullah Nutku, who is the author of the book “A Glance at the Glorious History of Çanakkale”.

    Seyfullah was born in 1903. He was a student in the first grade of the high school, in that period before the war. The date seen on Seyfullah's letter is September 19, 1914. Seyfullah wrote this letter to his mother from Çanakkale.
